Dog sledding
1.5-hour tour
This tour is perfect for guests who want to drive a dog sled team themselves but don’t have time for multi-day tours. In just 1.5 hours, you’ll get a real taste of dog sledding – including harnessing the dogs, taking care of them and the driving time. Enjoy the fresh air, get to know the huskies and drive your own team through the wintry landscape.

Dog sledding adventure
2.5-hour tour
This tour is for beginners who would like to experience dog sledding in a longer form. You drive your own sled with a passenger (aged 10 and over). After this tour you will be well prepared for longer adventures. Including campfire lunch. You will receive extensive sledding instruction, help harness the dogs and accompany them to the sled.

Husky week in Lapland
5-Day-Tour
Immerse yourself in the unspoilt wilderness of Lapland and experience an unforgettable week full of adventure, nature and huskies! Our husky week offers you the perfect mix of exciting dog sledding tours, fascinating nature experiences and relaxing moments in one of Sweden’s most beautiful regions. Experience life with the huskies and the fascinating culture of Lapland.

5 days
Day 1: Arrival in Jörn or Skellefteå – We will pick you up and take you to your accommodation, be it a cosy cottage or a charming country hotel. After checking in, you can explore the small town of Jörn, visit the swimming pool with sauna or enjoy the surroundings of the country hotel.
Day 2: Pick up and drive to the husky farm. You will get to know the dogs and start your first dog sledding tour. After the tour, we relax by the fire with hot drinks and soup. Then it’s back to the accommodation.
Day 3: Visit one of Sweden’s largest wilderness centres, where you can experience the region’s animals up close. Then it’s off on a snowshoe hike or a short pulka tour with our malamute. You can end the evening relaxing in your accommodation – perhaps with the Northern Lights on a clear night.
Day 4: A longer dog sledding tour is on the programme today, including a picnic in the snow. Back at the camp, we look after the dogs and enjoy warm drinks. The evening in the accommodation invites us to reflect and relax.
Day 5: The departure day offers one last adventure in Lapland before you are taken to the evening train to Jörn or the airport in Skellefteå. We say goodbye and hope to see you here again soon!

Mushing Handler Course Basic
8-day workshop
Embark on an exciting 8-day adventure into the world of mushing in the stunning wilderness of Scandinavia. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn everything from handling sled dogs to navigating through untouched landscapes. Gain the skills and knowledge for an unforgettable experience with these incredible animals.

8 days
Day 1: Arrival at Jörn (train station) or Skellefteå (airport) and transfer to the Husky Kennel. After a brief introduction, you’ll meet the dogs and be assigned your own team.
Day 2-7: Intensive training with both theory and practical sessions:
- Watering, feeding, and caring for the dogs
- First ride with your team
- Advanced driving techniques & longer routes
- Team rotation – get to know different dogs
- Simulate an emergency situation on the trail
- Set up a stake-out & night ride
- Prepare for an overnight tour
- Longer rides with lunch on the trail
- Final meeting for reflection and exchange
Day 8: Final test, awarding of the “Basic Mushing Certificate,” and departure.

After a day full of adventure, Haus Frank offers you the perfect mix of cosiness and relaxation. Swap stories in the spacious common room, prepare a relaxed dinner in the fully equipped kitchen or round off the day in front of the crackling fireplace.
